LaToya SHaren
About me
LaToya Sharen is a singer-songwriter, movement instructor, and speaker dedicated to helping people move well, speak truth, and live fully. Rooted in faith and shaped by experience, she creates music, movement practices, and meaningful conversations that honor both the beauty and complexity of real life.
Born to teenage parents and raised in Edwardsville, Illinois, LaToya grew up in a home where love and faith were constants even when life was unpredictable. She learned early that joy and hardship often exist side by side. By 14, she was directing her church choir, discovering not just her musical talent but a calling to lead with honesty and soul.
Her path has included seasons of family life, heartbreak, lost faith, and rediscovery. Those chapters didn’t break her. They shaped her into a woman of wisdom, wit, and grounded compassion who brings depth to everything she does.
Through her music, LaToya shares unfiltered and hopeful reflections, blending gospel roots with R&B soul and sincere truth-telling. As a certified Pilates instructor, she helps people reconnect with their bodies as sacred, worthy, and powerful, teaching mindful movement as an act of self-care and spiritual practice. Through speaking and writing, she offers space for reflection, growth, and honest dialogue about living well.
LaToya’s mission is simple: to show that wholeness is possible. That faith and doubt can coexist. That joy and grief both belong. That strength includes vulnerability. She invites people to come home to themselves—body, mind, and spirit—through sound, movement, and meaningful words.
